Larry Miller Debuts Media and Technology Consultancy

NEW YORK — Larry S. Miller has announced the formation of Miller & Company in New York City. The firm will provide strategic counsel, capital markets and public policy advice to media, entertainment and technology companies in domestic and international markets.

Miller observed, “The last several years have brought dynamic changes in the way entertainment and information is created, financed, distributed and consumed, creating unprecedented new opportunities but also threats. Miller & Company will advise on the most challenging decisions facing creators, executives and investors in music, media and enabling technologies.”

Before founding Miller & Company, Mr. Miller was a senior member of L.E.K.’s Media and Entertainment practice. Larry’s principle focus was on mergers, acquisitions and business strategy in recorded music and music publishing, broadcasting, telecommunications, business information and web services.

Prior to his return to consulting, Mr. Miller was founder and CEO of Or Music, an award- winning independent music label and publisher, where he signed and developed multi-platinum selling, five time Grammy nominees Los Lonely Boys and Matisyahu. Mr. Miller sold Or Music to its distributor SonyBMG in 2006. Previously he was President of Reciprocal Entertainment, a leading provider of rights management services acquired by Microsoft. Prior to that Mr. Miller held leadership roles at AT&T Labs, NBC Radio Entertainment and Tribune Broadcasting.
